Daphne joins an advanced cooking class at Buckner Hall, but soon comes across some difficulties because she is Deaf. This leads to Daphne becoming more self-conscious and insecure. Bay and Emmett bond while working together to find Bay's biological father, and they discover that his name is Angelo Sorrento. Elsewhere, Toby and Wilke draw up and enact a plan to steal a chemistry test in order to pay off their poker-playing debts.
