Sheldon and Amy visited Mary, who is fine that they live together, thinking Sheldon would not have gotten a girlfriend strange enough to care for him. This insulted Sheldon and in retaliation got his ear pierced, though he was made to take it out. Leonard and Penny had a terrible time chopping down a Christmas tree and bringing it home, and it turned out to have a squirrel living in it. Bernadette could not get the baby to stop crying and feared it was because she is not a good mother. However, she was able to get Halley asleep by sleeping in the crib with her. Stuart visited his grandmother in Bakersfield, though everyone pretends to have fallen asleep from listening to him as a joke. ---
