娱乐性不错，但缺乏思想性，最大的死穴在于这是一个虚构的故事，却又加上了一个那么大的时代背景和一个那么夸张的天才设定，这就很难免被人说是龙傲天了。同题材的《棋魂》就在幻想和现实感的平衡方面拿捏得很好，试想如果漫画直接说小光成为了世界冠军，那给读者的感觉会完全不同。
