Derek attempts to find out if Jackson is the Kanima by having him swallow its toxin; it wouldn't be affected by its own poison. However, the attempt fails. Convinced that it is Lydia, since she displayed immunity to the creature's toxin, Derek wants to kill her, so he sends Isaac and Erica to do it. Scott, Allison, Stiles and Jackson try to protect her together. While Danny is restoring Jackson's missing camera footage, the video shows Jackson awakening with gold eyes. Jackson and Lydia reconcile after an argument and as they kiss, his neck turns scaly, revealing that he is the Kanima. Isaac and Erica break into the house but Scott, Allison and Stiles easily beat the two. Jackson, in Kanima form, appears just before Lydia comes out, revealing to everyone that it is him. The Kanima runs up to a car and touches hands against the window with a shadowy figure before seeing its reflection and fleeing.
